Why Should You Get Video Testimonials?

These are GOLD for social media, your website, prospecting emails, the list goes on and on and on.

While written reviews are necessary (click here to see why), video testimonials are next-level.

Being able to see AND hear others saying great things about you makes a huge difference in the mind of your prospect.

And if your competitors don’t have ”˜em, you really stand out.

3 Strategies To Get The Right People On Camera

There are 2 problems you’ll run into when trying to get video testimonials.

The first is finding people who will say great things about your business.

The second is finding people who are willing to be on camera.

Let’s start with the first.

Strategy 1: In-Person Ask

The best time to get people on camera is when they’re already in your office.

Download the “In-Person Script” above.

If you never have people come into your office, I have 2 strategies for you.

Strategy 2: Raving Fan Ask

The first starts with creating a list of 5 – 10 of your raving fans.

Generally, 50% of people asked will say “yes” to doing a video.

So, if you ask 5, 2 will probably say yes. If you ask 10, 5 will probably say yes.

If you REALLY want to impress them, send them this email in video form. You’ll probably get even more than 50% of people to say yes. 😉

Strategy 3: Previous Reviewer Ask

The second strategy is to ask people who have already left you a review on Google, Facebook or Yelp to record their written review on video.

Again, if you really want to impress them, send them a video!

How to Touch Up Your Video In Editing

Once you receive the video from them, you may want to touch it up a bit.

This will be a very easy edit.

In fact, you may not have to edit it at all.

But if you want, here are 3 things you can do:

  • Cut off any awkward beginnings and endings
  • Add your logo in the corner
  • Add an ending

Here’s how to do it:

How to Use it

There are at least 3 places you’ll definitely want to use this video.

At least.

Meaning – you can find even more ways to use these, I’m sure.

The first is social media.

Upload them to your Facebook, LinkedIn like this:

The second is put them on your website.

If you have a spot that makes sense on your main page, that’s great!

You can also put them right next to the quote form – ya know, for extra motivation. 😉

Here’s an example….

The third is in your producers’ email signatures.

Typically, they send out a ton of email communication to prospects.

Maximize it!
