I was interested in exactly how bad the legacy technology issue is for some carriers. From the outside, it’s hard to wrap your head around the idea that a carriers technology is so old and out-of-date that it could keep them from moving forward.
2) Addressing middle market commercial online
As many new insurtech startups begin to shift their gaze from personal auto insurance to small commercial, I was interested to get Mike’s thoughts on middle market commercial and the opportunity that exists for this type of business in the digital marketplace.
3) Creating a culture of innovation
A big part of Mike LaRocco’s initiative upon taking CEO job at State Auto was big push on improving the overall culture of the organization. I was interested in the elements of corporate culture that he wanted to improve and what he’s seen as a result.
