I am coming to you live from my office here at the Murray Group Insurance Services, my wife’s family’s independent agency in upstate New York, where I’m currently working out of while my home office is being finished, but that’s not the point.

It allows me to do a bunch of fun things like use multiple camera angles and bring in screen captures, which is what we’re going to do today as we describe the new TrustedChoice.com prospect workflow, which may not necessarily sound like it’s important to you at all, but I promise if you take just a few minutes and go through this demo with me, you’re going to love what you see and you’re going to learn why for the hungry agents out there, for the Advantage subscribers who are looking to write new business, this new workflow is a game changer.

With that little sales pitch out of the way, I am going to move over to our demo. Now you can see the Homepage of TrustedChoice.com.
We do all kinds of SEO work.
I used to own a consulting firm handling Media Lab before I joined TrustedChoice.com. Let’s say I still own that consulting firm and my current agent is not doing a good job for me, or I’m starting a business, or I’m feeling like maybe there’s a better option out there for me and I heard an independent agent is the way to go. So I do a Google search, and TrustedChoice.com comes up as one of the options for marketing Consulting firms. I click on the link, and it takes me to the home page, which you see here.
I come to the home page, and I come down and I say, “Okay, I’m going to find insurance for my business.” I click the “Find insurance for my business” button, and it takes me to this new workflow, which for whoever has been to our site and done demos or a lot of the people who may be watching this who are with a carrier, you’ve been through this demo with Vinnie Savarese many times I’m sure.
This is going to look a little different.
What this is doing is, before I can get to the listing of agents, I have to fill out this information.
So I’m going to do it as if I was still doing my consulting firm. I’m looking for a business owners package, I put in my zip code, how many employees, I’m a sole proprietor, how many years in business – I was in business for two – what type of business is it – marketing – and boom, autocomplete – marketing consulting services, exactly what I’m looking for – and the name of my business – Hanley Media Lab. I click “Continue.”
Now it takes me to the personal information. Now I’m going to say first name Ryan, last name Hanley, there’s my e-mail address. I’m going to use my Trusted Choice address just for purposes of this demo. And I’m going to pop in my phone number because I don’t mind if you call me. And then note to the agent: “I’m looking for a business owner policy.”
Now I have typed in both my personal information and information about my business in particular.
This is all feeding the TrustedChoice.com appetite engine, which helps connect an insurance buyer with the right independent agent/carrier mixture. That’s what we’re looking to do – present them with options for an agent who both has the desire and willingness to write that piece of business and a listing of carriers in that local area who also want to write that type of business.
I click “Show local agents.”
Now all that data is captured in our system. I hit here, and because the Murray Group is subscribers and that actually is my beautiful wife right there up on top, I now have a listing of agents in my local area.
The Ten Eyck Group is just down the road from where I’m sitting, Glenville is not too far from where I am. And you see here are local agents: both Liberty Mutual, Preferred Mutual, and Acadia Insurance write marketing consulting businesses in the state of New York, which is where I live.
Now here is the really cool part. Let’s say I click the “Contact us” button, and up pops this thing.
My wife’s agency now has immediately received an e-mail with all that information, and if I call that phone number – and let’s say I don’t leave a message; maybe I’m calling and everyone is at a team meeting and no one picks up the phone or at lunch or maybe it’s after hours – as that agent who received that referral through TrustedChoice.com, you have all the follow-up information.
You know who they are, what they’re interested in, what their e-mail is, what their phone number is, and now it’s not a lost opportunity where before, if the phone call came in from TrustedChoice.com and you didn’t get it and that person didn’t leave a message, it was gone.
Today that’s not the case; today you get all that information. You can put it into your e-mail autoresponder and you can respond to them via e-mail, you can call them back, you know who they are, you know the type of business. This is an incredible improvement.
For the carriers out there, you probably already have the little light bulb going off over your head as you think to yourself, “Oh, my gosh. All my agents have this incredible data and we get this incredible data, as well,” being one of the carriers that show up on the left side.”
By having more information and more data allows us to do our job better as independent agents and as carriers and just the independent agency system. This is a wonderful improvement.
