Facebook Live has officially rolled out to Facebook business pages. So I decided to go super meta and talk social media marketing on the world’s largest social media platform using their newest feature.

So I decided to go super meta and talk social media marketing on the world’s largest social media platform using their newest feature.

In the video above we dive into the four social media networks independent agents and carriers should be using to capture the Millennial generation. The four mentioned are:

  • Instagram
  • Snapchat
  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn

Why these four social media platforms out of all those available?

Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. Oh my.

The important of Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat have to do with Millennial participation.

According to Business Insider, in order, Millennials participate on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat more than any other social media platforms.

Facebook isn’t just a social media network, it’s part of American culture. Millennials might not be spending their entire day on Facebook anymore, but it’s still a regular part of the mix. And as Millennials continue to grow into their lives, many experts believe they’ll head back to Facebook for all the reasons their grandparents are joining Facebook today (pictures of family and friends).

Instagram is quick, easy and visual. Text-based comments aren’t a required part of the platforms culture. This allows using to participate in their friends experiences without the obligation of interaction.

Snapchat is text messaging on whatever chemical concoction they gave The Hulk. With over 8 billion video views a day, Snapchat is quickly replacing the standard text message in the Millennial community. Remember, with Snapchat, the limitations are part of the platforms power

LinkedIn makes the list because for it’s professional perception. Eventually, most everyone gets a job (even if they work for themselves), and LinkedIn is where¬†to post and share your new job.

Using the LinkedIn Publisher feature, both agents and carriers can establish their authority and connect with potential clients (and employees).

The Rub

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 1,000 times, “The money is in search.”

This is as true today as it has ever been.

This is why TrustedChoice.com Advantage Referrals continue to grow every single month.

However, social is becoming as much a part of the long-game as search was five years ago.

It’s time to engage.

Thank you,

Ryan Hanley
